Sharpie is from Spanish Fork. She's most likely an abandoned pet (she's ridiculously affectionate). A lot of the neighborhood around New Haven (the treatment center Bob works at) consider it a good spot to abandon an animal. All of the girls are allowed to adopt the animals on campus, and so they think the pet will dovetail into a new home quickly. This is not the case. As far as we know Sharpie's only source of food were some Cheerios that one of the girls was sneaking her. She was covered in icicles and snow and did not seem as though she would make it through the winter. Well, I uncertainly agreed that leaving her to her own devices would almost surely mean death and that she should be added to our cat family. Of course, what Bob neglected to notice was the fact that Sharpie is very, very pregnant. Luckily, we found a clinic that will fix her at no extra charge. I'm sad to do it, but with such a poor diet for the vast majority of the pregnancy, chances are the babies won't live anyway. Soon enough, though, she'll be back to normal and feeling great. So far, Maddy and Jasper are doing alright. The first three days involved a lot of circling and growling, and hiding and jumping out yowling, and awkwardness around the food bowls, but they've grown into a comfortable distaste. By next week I'm hoping to see them snuggling together. Even if they don't get comfortable with each other, at least all the noise has stopped!

She's adorable! We can't wait to see you!
