Me as a mannequin

So Bob and I made tape mannequins to take shooting. It was so hard to stay still and my limbs kept falling asleep. If you'd like to try this fun family project at home, all you need is a lot of tape. Start with the torso the completely wrap your model sticky-side-out in tape. Then, go over what you've done with the tape sticky-side-in. Carefully cut the model out of the mold and repair with more tape. Repeat for the lower half and attach the top and bottom parts with yet more tape. This takes a surprising amount of time, so don't try to do one piece.

But what does one do with a masking tape mannequin? Well, in our family the answer to most of these kinds of questions is "we could shoot it...". And so we did. We went all the way up to Ioseppa, an Indian reservation, and made a day of it. Luckily, we remembered bug spray and sun lotion this time. I enjoyed practicing my "if a killer broke in this is how i'd shoot him" shots. Bob and I are also learning to be a bang-up sniper/spotter team. Fantastic! Now we can kill you from very far away, too!

All in all, an awesome day.
