Most of my family lives two thousand miles away.  We are separated by the Appalachian Mountains, the Mississippi River, the Great Planes, the Rocky Mountains.  I hope that we can feel a little more connected by keeping each other informed of our goings-on.

I love my family.

Bob and I took our cat Maddy into the Mountains today.  We went to a field and meandered around looking at flowers and listening to the river gurgle by while Maddy smelled everything and ate grass.  She loves to eat grass.  It started to rain a little and when it got cold we went back home.  Unfortunately, the rain foiled our plan to change the oil and oil filter in my car today.  We'll get to it another day!

This week I'm trying a pudding recipe. I hope it turns out!  My-T-Fine mix doesn't exist here in Utah, and I need an equal or greater replacement.  I'll post the recipe if it's a success....
